Greetings Friends and Family!

I am excited to share some amazing news.  Next fall, I will be taking a huge step of faith by going on the World Race Gap Year.  The World Race Gap Year is a 9 month mission trip through Adventures in Missions (AIM), a Christian interdenominational organization that has brought over 100,000 people to the mission field since 1989.  AIM partners with numerous organizations around the world by sending teams of young people from the USA to serve and support these organizations. In September 2020, I will travel with a team of approximately 35 young adults to three countries: Guatemala, Ecuador, and Nepal.  I will live in each country for three months serving various local christian ministries. Examples of service include providing care to children living on the streets or in orphanages, serving people with special needs in hospitals, providing physical labor by working in fields or building facilities, evangelism, and tutoring in schools.  This is something that I've wanted to do for a long time; I’m so honored to be accepted to this program, and thankful that I get to take this adventure with Jesus.

I would like you to consider supporting me in this 9 month mission by partnering with me in two ways -

1- Prayer:

  1. Pray for me and my team.  Pray for God’s preparation, protection, provision, and for His purpose.

  2. Pray for the people we will serve.  Pray that lives will be changed and God will be glorified.

2- Financial support:

I need to raise $15,800, and I would ask that you take time to pray about financially supporting me for this trip.  Any amount is super helpful! My fundraising goal includes the costs of training, travel, lodging, food, and other necessities while abroad. I know that God has called me to this and He is faithful to provide.  You can donate:

  1. Via my blog at http://colepetersen.theworldrace.org. Please check out this site.  Not only is it the place you can donate, but you can read my blog page and catch up with what’s happening with me during my journey.

  2. By check.  Please make all checks payable to Adventures in Missions. I have enclosed a fundraising card that must be filled out and sent with your check to the address listed on the card.

Thank you all so much in advance for your support! I am beyond excited, and eagerly looking forward to see what God has planned on this adventure.  If you would like to talk, or have ANY questions, please reach out to me at 937-474-3757, or by email at coledpetersen01@gmail.com.  I would love to have a conversation with you, whether it be over coffee or on the phone.

Thank you!
